Who is The Big Choir?

The Big Choir is a Community Fundraising choir, set up with the sole purpose of raising funds for the Francis Crick Institute in Kings Cross for research into all cancers.  We are a warm and welcoming group who love to sing together on a weekly basis, and perform at lots of great events.  To date our singers have proudly raised over £420,000 for life-saving research.

You don't need any previous singing experience to join us, just plenty of enthusiasm, a love of music, and the willingness to learn.  We move quickly through new material, so members are expected to practice at home, learning their harmonies with mp3's, we don't read music.  We also ask members to memorise their lyrics that that we can engage with out audiences at events.  It's quite a commitment, but we promise, the feeling of singing confidently together is so worth it.

If you're looking for a friendly community, a good challenge, and the chance to make a real difference, simply by singing, you'll feel right at home with us.  Click on the link above to book a free taster!

The money we raise goes via Cancer Research UK to the scientists at www.crick.ac.uk, a pioneering biochemical research facility, for research into all types of cancer.

As well as the fundraising, there is a lot of laughter, although we do take our singing seriously! We have a great social side to the choir and have so enjoyed watching friendships blossom across all of our groups.  One monthly fee gives you access to both choirs, We have one in Barnet and another in St Albans.

We really are one big happy family and we'll make you extremely welcome if you'd like to join us.

Not forgetting our lovely boys! Here are just a few of them, and we are always looking for more men to join us!
